Landscape, Climate, People & Food

The Mexican landscape is a combination of desert zone, semiarid zone, temperate forests and tropical rainforests. High rugged mountains, high plateaus and tableland, low coastal plains are all found in the same country.

Mexico is monolingual, Spanish being the main language. However, this Spanish is different from the Castilian Spanish spoken in Spain. Mayan or Nahuatl, the native languages are still widely spoken in some regions.

Spicy food and Tequila shots are the attractions of Mexican cities. Enchiladas, Tacos, Tamales, Chicharron, tostadas, Pozole spices up every tongue that has a taste for new cuisines. “Platillo Tipico” is a local specialty not found everywhere is a variation, of a recipe.

Mexicans are religious catholic people with somewhat relaxed sense of time. Respect Mexico’s laws. Vacation rentals are mostly situated in places that overlooks the sparkling blue ocean and white sand beach. There are Mediterranean villas, condominiums, residential homes, beach houses, and other types of residential properties available for vacation rentals.

Most location offers spectacular views of the sea, rocky tide pools, sometimes surrounding Desert Mountains, family owned jungle and palm tree estates facing the Caribbean’s. The heated pool, with swim-up seats dolphin fountains, are the luxuries and comfortable amenities provided to enjoy the surrounding nature.

All furnished insides with exclusive architecture, large living rooms, fully equipped bars, spacious rooms, studios, kitchen, private palapas, relaxing in the Jacuzzi cooling off in the pool and bird watching sipping margaritas are all the value additions to these vacation rentals.

Planning a Perfect Romantic Vacation
Nov 16th, 2009 by admin

Our cruise specialist says ‘You can’t go wrong on the Love Boat or Radisson Seven Seas Cruises’ ship, Paul Gauguin, cruising the islands of Tahiti. Several agents echo her thoughts that Tahiti is truly a lovers getaway, highly recommending the ‘over the water bungalows’ at the Hotel Bora Bora. The tropical sunsets are out of this world.

When it comes to the Caribbean, several islands come to mind. Sandals St. Lucia is a couple’s only resort which caters to your every need, and the location is just perfect. Anse Chastnaet, St. Lucia is another wonderful property, ask for open hillside rooms and wake up with an unobstructed view of the Pitons.

Cayman Islands is known for it’s beautiful beaches, wonderful shopping and excellent snorkeling and scuba diving. Turks and Caicos offers 12 miles of uninterrupted beach, a laid back attitude and an abundance of underwater life.

In Mexico it’s Shangri-La, located on the Mexican sun coast. Where else can you relax in your hammock and listen to the sounds of the ocean. If you prefer the pacific side, may we suggest La Casa que Canta perched on a cliff surrounded by the sea of Zihuatanejo Bay, with a magnificent panoramic view.

Any Hawaiian island offers that exciting tropical flare, but when asked to pick the most romantic Kauai is the choice, it’s those secluded beaches and the beautiful scenery. The Hyatt Regency offers a wonderful, sophisticated setting on Poipu Beach.

It’s hard to top the ambiance of Paris, a stroll down the sidewalk, a romantic dinner at a cafe, the Eiffel Tower, the Louve. It’s the history, the love of art, the exquisite taste of the entire city that make it a city for lovers.

Lake Tahoe, where else can you enjoy all the outdoor adventure and still have great shows and entertainment. Enjoy a sunset over the lake as you relax with a drink in your hand.

The number one choice is the wonderful city of San Francisco it’s rolling hills, China town, Little Italy the Warf, great food and fun awaits all it’s visitors. With only 43 guest rooms, El Drisco is the perfect boutique hotel an exquisite setting, many of the rooms offer a spectacular view of either the San Francisco Skyline or the famous Golden Gate Bridge. Make some time for the wine country whether you choose Sonoma or Napa you can’t go wrong. Rent a convertible and cruise from winery to winery, stopping for lunch at quaint cafes along the way. Settling down in a homey Bed and Breakfast at the end of romantic drive, it’s just the perfect weekend.

The Top 5 Romantic Honeymoon Destinations
Nov 15th, 2009 by admin

If you’re looking to choose a romantic honeymoon destination, you might a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of choices available. There are many great honeymoon destinations out there, from Hawaii t Mexico to the Caribbean.

In order to help you narrow down your choices (aond maybe even think of some places you haven’t previously considered), I have compiled the following list of the very best honeymoon spots.

So here are my choices for the top 5 honeymoon destinations:

5. Zihuatanejo, Mexico

One of Mexico’s hidden gems, Zihuatanejo is located on Mexico’s southern Pacific coast. A quaint little town set on an amazingly picturesque bay, Zihuatanejo has wonderful art galleries, restaurants, and small hotels. It’s a great place for those seeking to get away from it all on their honeymoon while still experiencing world class service and dining.

4. Tahiti and Moorea

This chain of islands in the South Pacific is truly naturally blessed, with lush vegetation, amazing lagoons, crystalline waters, beautiful beaches, and laid back, friendly locals. Luxury accommodations here range from standard rooms to private over-water bungalows. What more could you ask for from a romantic island paradise?

3. St. Kitts and Nevis

Luxury is the operative word in St. Kitts and Nevis. Less well known than many other Caribbean islands, St. Kitts and Nevis are a bit of a well kept secret amongst those who enjoy ultra-luxury vacationing away from the crowds of better known destinations. The Four Seasons Nevis might just be the best hotel in the Caribbean. Gorgeous, exclusive, and home to the best beaches and the best weather in the Caribbean, St. Kitts and Nevis make for an ultra-exclusive honeymoon destination.

2. Kauai, Hawaii

Kauai might just be the most beautiful of the Hawaiian Islands, and it receives my vote for the most romantic. Home to several amazing hotels, from the Princeville hotel on one end to the Hyatt on the other, Kauai is the perfect place for a Hawaiian honeymoon. On Kauai, you avoid the crowds while enjoying breathtaking natural beauty, from the awe-inspiring Waimea Canyon to the stunning Na Pali coast to world-famous Hanalei Bay, there is plenty to see and do on Kauai – that is when you are not enjoying the most amazing beaches in Hawaii.

1. St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands

Tranquil, stunningly beautiful, and utterly romantic, St. John is my idea of paradise. Much of the island is a U.S. national park, but there are a couple world-class hotels on St. John, so if you can get a room, you are in for a real treat – a honeymoon in a true natural paradise.

Secret Romantic Getaways: Zihuatanejo, Mexico
Oct 28th, 2009 by admin

People are always on the lookout for those secret romantic getaways – those hidden, beautiful spots that haven’t yet been discovered by the masses.

One such place is Zihuatanejo, a small, artsy village set on a picture-perfect bay on Mexico’s southern Pacific coast, about 140 miles north of Acapulco.

Zihuatanejo was a sleepy fishing village right up until the 1970s, and while art galleries, ceramics shops, and upscale restaurants have moved in, the town still retains its quaint charm, from its stone streets to authentic local architecture.

Activities in town range from excellent sport fishing to sailing, beach combing, water sports of all kinds, and golfing.

There are only a handful of hotels in town, none of them particularly large. But there are two small hotels with world-class service that make a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway or honeymoon destination.

The first of these small hotels is La Casa Que Canta. Built into a hillside above Zihuantanejo Bay, this beautiful little hotel has simply amazing ocean views and a an away-from-it-all feel — perfect for a romantic vacation. With just 24 rooms, it’s intimate too. All in all, it’s a great place for a honeymoon or getaway.

The second great little hotel in the area is The Tides Zihuatanejo hotel. Formerly known as the Hotel Villa del Sol, the Tides is simply the best hotel in the region, and quite possibly the best small hotel in all of Mexico. With wonderfully romantic bungalows and hotel rooms, each decorated in its own unique style, the hotel has wonderful services, a beautiful pool, and a lush, tropical waterfront setting.

Just 3 miles away from the downtown area of Zihuatanejo are the large luxury resorts of Ixtapa. Ixtapa is home to two incredible golf courses, the new Marina Ixtapa Golf Course and the Palma Real Golf and Tennis Club, whose renowned golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.

There are also some wonderful day trips available from Zihuatanejo, including to the famous Colonial city of Taxco, with its beautiful classic architecture, and to Acapulco, with its renowned beaches, hotels, and nightclubs.

Zihuatanejo is blessed with natural beauty, great shops, galleries, and restaurants, and an authentic, laid-back Mexican culture. If you are looking for that still-undiscovered tropical paradise, far from the tourist crowds, then Zihuatanejo, Mexico is the place for you.
